Get The Look - Lucy Hale 2013 Country Music Awards

OK!Magazine.com reported on Lucy Hale's makeup look at the 2013 CMAs! Makeup artist, Kelsey Deenihan dished on all the details to OK!

FACE & CHEEKS: I began by prepping her skin with Nourish moisturizer by Lancer Skincare. For Lucy’s skin, I mixed Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 5 and 5.5 and applied it with a fluffy brush working from the center of her face outward. For any areas that needed extra coverage and to brighten under the eyes, I used Cle de Peau concealer in Ivory. Next I applied mark Just Blushing Powder Blush in Cameo to create a deep contour and topped off the cheeks with the pinks of the mark Wonder Glow Blush & Glow All Over Face Palette. I swept it high across Lucy’s cheekbones allowing the subtle shimmer to illuminate her skin.

EYES: To make Lucy’s eyes pop, I used the mark 10 Year Anniversary Eye Shadow Palette in the left two colors (the M and A) all over her lid. I lined the top and bottom with both mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet Set and Foxy Brown. For the inner corners of her eyes, I used the white shade (on the far right) of the mark 10 Year Anniversary Eye Shadow Palette. The brightness in the corners or her eyes allows the shadow to catch the light and reflect it and makes Lucy’s eyes appear larger. I finished her eyes with two generous coats of mark Scanda-Lash mascara in Blackest Black.

LIPS: To finish Lucy’s look, I applied mark Make It Rich Lip Crayon in Naturally.

My mark. Style: Fall Edition

I bought two fun fashion items from mark Magalog 12, the Sheer Me Out Blouse and Step Right Up Shoe Clips. I wanted to share some pics and a little review of these new items. :)

First up is the mark Sheer Me Out Blouse. It is white sheer fabric with cutout collar, golden buttons, and lace front detail. When I first saw this in the Mag I was like, "oh how cute"! A nice, trendy sheer blouse that is casual enough to be worn with jeans and can be changed up with different color tanks underneath. Then the day it arrived in the mail, I slipped it on and was like, "I look like a 1980s business women". I wasn't expecting the lace front at all (I couldn't see it in the photos) and the shoulders had a slight puff. I tried putting it on with a skirt and tucking it in but that did nothing to deflect from the matronly 80s look. Next I tried a dark pair of jeans and left it untucked in a more casual way which looked a little better. I also didn't love the fabric the collar was made of. I'll put a pic of me wearing the blouse below. I got a lot of compliments on the photo but in the end I returned the blouse. After some thought, I decided that I didn't feel comfortable in it and it wasn't my style.

Next up are the mark Step Right Up Shoe Clips! I was excited to get these because I had a set of shoe clips when I was a little girl. This set from mark is soooooo cute! And what an easy way to change the look of flats and heels! I like that the black and clear faceted gem pair are perfect for black/white/silvery shoes while the little blush and rhinestone bows are perfect for gold/metallic shoes. You could also clip them on the back of the shoe or on a headband or bobby pin. I love a product that is versatile and I recommend ordering these clips for yourself and a friend! ;)

Avon Naturals Winter Berry Review

Winter Berry is a new bath and body scent Avon just released. Scent description: frosted red currants, black raspberries and whipped vanilla cream. This new scent is available in a shower gel, body spray, and hand/body lotion.

I actually purchased the shower wash and body spray as a gift but I couldn't resist giving it a smell first. ;) I am not a big fan of raspberry scents even though they seem to be extremely popular in bath and body products. With Winter Berry the other flavors really balance out the raspberry scent so it smells nicer to me than other raspberry products.

Ordering one would make a great stocking stuffer and giving two or all three would make a great gift for anyone on your holiday shopping list.
