Avon Veilment CBD Multi-Balm Stick Review

 

February 10, 2021 - In my latest Avon order, I purchased Avon's Veilment CBD Multi-Balm Stick in jasmine. My hands and nails are a gross mess of dry skin. I wear my nails short and only wear nail polish for special occasions because of the condition of my cuticles and skin. This is a new product  at my Avon eStore and it is very affordable so I decided to test it out.
FYI, Avon's collection does NOT contain THC. 

CBD – Extracted from stalks and leaves of the hemp plant, this super ingredient contains vitamins A, D and E and essential fatty acids.

Above are my "before" photos. I have a dog and I like to cook so I wash my hands often. They are dry not only on the top and around the nails but also on the palm side. 

The product page doesn't say how often you can apply the balm, but my plan is to use it 2-3 times a day. I will definitely be using it before bed when it will have the longest time to set in before a washing. 

Review:

My first reaction to the balm was noticing that the size is similar to an average lip balm, the jasmine scent is subtle, and the formula is clear. Avon offers this balm in Jasmine and a Geranium scents. Honestly, I choose the one I thought would smell least like an old lady. I will post an update in a week to share my progress so check back!

UPDATE: February 17, 2021 - No update this week. My hands are still a mess, not because the product isn't working but I forget to put it on. Maybe I should keep it in the bathroom so I remember to use it. 

UPDATE: February 24, 2021 - I would call this week a "work in progress". I need to step up my game so I've added a few extra products to help. I've been using a moisturizing hand soap plus Avon's Veilment CBD Multi-Balm Stick, Avon Senses Silky Vanilla Antibacterial Hand Gel (vanilla is no longer available but cucumber melon is), and Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing & Repair Hand Cream. Consistency is key! Maybe next week I will be ready for nail polish. 😀

UPDATE: March 3, 2021 - My hands are looking better! Again, the worst part is remembering to use the product. I'm terrible at incorporating something new into my routine. It's the easiest for me to remember to use the CBD Balm in the evenings and at night. The inside of my hands are looking less dry and flaky. I even felt confident enough to wear nail polish today. 

Avon Perioe Himalaya Pink Salt Toothpaste - Oral Care Review

I've been using Avon Perioe Himalaya Pink Salt Toothpaste and the matching toothbrush for a few weeks and I really like it! The toothpaste has a nice taste (ice mint) and the formula isn't grainy or gritty. It is also vegan and fluoride free. I admit I was skeptical about the shape of the toothbrush. The head is wider than your average brush and I have a small mouth and wasn't sure about getting to the back. So far I haven't had any trouble. The wide shape feels good on my gums and the short length allows me to get to the back. The price is comparable to what I usually buy at Wal-Mart. I give it 👍👍.

Avon 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo Lip Line & Fill Duo Review

This is Avon 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo Lip Line & Fill Duo in shade Inked Rose! 💋 I was excited to try this product and shade. Why? I hate it when I eat/drink and the color wipes off (plus my sister pokes fun at my when I reapply my lipstick in public) and I could use a mauve pink in my lip collection. Here's what happened...

UPDATE: July 26, 2019 - new shade photos and review

So I ordered a new shade and it is awesome!!! I do love a red lip after all.  I applied Lip Tattoo in shade Renegade Ruby and I added a layer of Crave Lip Gloss in strawberry glaze on top for a little shine. The shade actually matches the tube and is a nice deep, red color. Now for the crazy part - it lasted a looooong time, like all through the night long. I put it on in the afternoon, ate ice cream, had dinner (I wiped my mouth with napkins), brushed my teeth and there was still color. More like a cherry popsicle color than the deep red I started with but it was amazing! Before bed, I used an Avon makeup wipe to clean my face and lips and there was still color. I couldn't get it off. Even when I woke up the next morning I still had some red on my lips (none on the pillow). How crazy is that? I took a picture ⇓

July 14, 2019 - photos & review below

Above is freshly applied Lip Tattoo. I put it on right before I left the house and snapped a couple selfies in the natural light. 

Here I am a few hours later after I ate lunch. I drank with a straw and wiped my mouth multiple times with a napkin. Still lots of color.

Here I am a little later after I used a makeup wipe to try to wipe off the lip color. 

Lets talk the positives and negatives...

Negatives: I don't like that the color is super different then advertised. Above is Avon's picture of Inked Rose on the model. Clearly a very different look then on my lips. I was expecting a pink mauve not a deep wine color. While I like the applicator, I wish I could have smeared around the product like a cream or gloss so I could have had more control over the blending and filling. Where you put it is where it stays.

Positives: The formula definitely has staying power. I didn't have makeup goo on my food or have to reapply after eating. There is a "set it and forget it" kind of vibe. I also liked that I didn't have to find a liner to match, it was all there in one product. I do want to try a different shade. Probably renegade ruby.

Avon Magix Tint Brightening Tinted Moisturizer Review

My Review:
I have very light skin and ordered shade Fair. The formula was lightweight and went on smoothly with a sponge applicator. There was a slight scent but nothing strong or stinky. My skin in not in good shape. I have red acne spots, large pores, and bumps. Magix doesn't have enough coverage for my problem areas. :( I knew that would be a possibility when I ordered it but I was hoping it would be a good product for summer.  After I put it on I had to add some regular foundation and concealer to hide my bad spots. I am going to keep it in my makeup bag to wear over my SPF skincare for hot summer days when I do outdoor activities. So I am kind of on the fence about this product. If I had great skin I think I would really like the ease of application and how it feels on. See how it looks below...

Avon Glimmershadow Liquid Eyeshadow Review

Avon Glimmershadow Liquid Eyeshadow is new and very cool! I'm really into pink beauty right now. It is so fresh for spring and shade rose gold was calling my name! There are 8 shades to pick from and it was hard to choose just one to demo. I like neutral eyeshadows and was also drawn to shades fool's gold and bronze age. 

The applicator is like a lip gloss applicator and holds a lot of liquid shadow. I used one dip for both eyes. The color is highly pigmented and just a few swipes provided a good amount of color on my lids. WOW ✨!!! Shade rose gold is supposed to be shimmer, not glitter, but there is a ton of sparkle in that tube! The day I wore it, the shadow did not loose its sparkle or color for the whole day. I did have some creasing even though I used primer and a translucent powder before I applied the Glimmershadow.  I have oily lids so I expected it to happen. Personally it is not something I could wear everyday because the sparkle is just too much for a daily look. If you are headed to the prom or some fun event where you want to look extra special, this is an amazing choice for your lids!!! You could even dab a little of this shade on your cheeks for some extra sparkle! 😉

Avon Clearskin® Professional Acne Treatment System Diary & Review

It's a new year and the perfect time to do something about my skin situation. I have large pores, blackheads, and bumpy acne on my jawline. I have some oily areas but also dryness from the spots where I have had a zit. I don't really have a set skincare routine or magical products that I use daily. I've tried a few different Clearskin cleansers and Anew moisturizers but nothing has really stuck or helped with my acne. I'm in my early 30's and my skin breaks out like a teenagers. In my last Avon order, Clearskin® Professional Acne Treatment System was at a great price so I thought "go for it"!

I'm going to document the next few months diary style as I use the Clearskin system and (fingers crossed 🤞) show the progress with my skin and acne. 

Before using the system.

Using the Clearskin® Professional Acne Treatment System is easy to incorporate in my daily life. It only takes a small amount of each product to cover my face so hopefully it will last a long time before I need to reorder. Here is how I feel about each step:
Clearskin® Professional Deep Pore Cleansing Scrub: I love the way it feels, leaving a cooling, tingling sensation on my nose and cheeks. It gives you the sense that it is really cleaning. I don't like those little beads inside.
Clearskin® Professional Clarifying Toner Pads: I've been cutting the pads in half because they are big and it seems wasteful to use the whole thing when half will do. The pads are super saturated in the toner and I can get a good application on my entire face. 
Clearskin® Professional Daily Correcting Lotion: The lotion is awesome! I only need a tiny dot to cover my face and it doesn't feel oily. I think it also helps control the oil build up on my face as the day goes on. I've used it with and without makeup and it feels great both ways!

I've been using the system for one week. There haven't been any changes but I wasn't expecting it to work miracles in only one week. The good part - my face isn't any worse then it was before and I haven't had any bad reactions to the products. I also wanted to mention that I have added a weekly treatment of Clearskin® Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask to my regimen. It is fun to use and is supposed to help unclog pores.

Not a lot of changes this week. I think a few acne spots from last week are healing up but I also have a few new blemishes this week. My cheeks and jawline have the worst acne and redness. I will keep using the system and post again next week. Hopefully things will look better.

It's been about a month since I started using the Clearskin system. I am still having acne issues along my jawline and chin. There are bumps, little whiteheads, and redness. I am going to keep using the products. At least my skin isn't getting worse.

Some of the older acne spots I have are healing up and nothing new and hideous has popped up. So overall things are about the same.

Things are not looking good this week. 😕 I have several zits on my forehead which is a little unusual for me and some in my hairline. Gross! It is the week before my period so that could be causing issues. For a few nights I have been putting Clearskin® Blemish Clearing Overnight Treatment on the spots on my forehead. I hope they dry up fast.
