mark. Windswept Bath + Body Collection Review

In Magalog 4, mark. introduced the new Windswept Bath & Body Collection! After I tried that little "rub your wrist" sampler in our Avon preview catalog, saw the great price, and looked at my extremely dry hands, I knew I had to order the hand cream!!!

Scent Description: Feel the breeze and let your spirit soar with this exhilarating mix of sparkling grapefruit, orchid essence, and cedarwood. 

My Review: First, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the bottle. I was expecting something half that size. Secondly, I LOVE the smell! Initially the hand cream had a light floral scent then the pop of tangy grapefruit captures your senses. The grapefruit is my favorite part! The tanginess makes the lotion smell fresh and keeps me coming back for another whiff. I've been wearing the cream to bed at night. It only takes a little bit to absorb into my hands and leave them feeling smooth and not greasy. Bonus - I get to smell it while I fall asleep! I give Windswept two thumbs up!!!

My Style: mark. Light & Layered Top Edition

This post is all about my new top from mark.girl! I was originally drawn to it because it was lightweight, a neutral color, unique, and perfect for hot Summer days. I hoped I would be able to wear it casually with jeans or fun patterned shorts. It is definitely all of those things!

Description: 
• Sleeveless
• One layer has a round neckline, the other has a V-neck 
• Top layer that ties in back is shorter than the bottom layer 
• Back is only one layer 
• Back drops down do near shoulder blades in a V-shape • Hi-low hem
• Adjustable tie in back for more fitted look if desired.  

My Style: I wanted to give it a casual, Summery feel. I paired the top with dark denim shorts, plaid sneakers, Avon's Inner Wisdom Necklace, simple black and gold earrings, and a black bracelet.

My Review: I ordered a small (my go-to mark. size) and the length fit fine. My biggest problem with this top is the shoulder straps. The straps come over really far on my shoulders. I put the top on first, then my shorts, etc. and the straps fell down the entire time. Two things could be causing my strap dilemma: my upper body shape or the size of the top. I tried adjusting the back tie but nothing helped. You are probably wondering what I wore underneath such a sheer top. First I tried a nude bandeau strapless bra and was surprised at how well it worked. I also tried it with a bright cami and regular bra but with the shoulder strap issue, you could see the cami and bra straps. It was a layering mess.

Get The Look - mark. Make A Mint

Pastels are a must-have every Spring, especially this year with the "colors of the year" being pink and blue. Check out this tutorial with mark.'s limited edition Precious Petals Collections found on page 19 in Magalog 4.

EYES: Dab mark. All Time Eye Hook Up Longwear Shadow shade dew drop across the lids and blend up into the crease and slightly beyond the outer corners of the eyes using a dense shadow brush (try Avon Pro All Over Eyeshadow Brush). Run an eyeliner brush (like Avon Pro Eyeliner Brush) over the wand to pick up pigment and then run the shade along the lower lash lines so it meets the color on the lids at the outer corners of the eyes. Trace mark. No Place To Run Longwear Eyeliner shade jet set through that line, following but slightly lower than the lash line. Brush two coats of mark. Lash Act Build & Define Mascara shade blackest black onto lashes.
LIPS: Apply mark. Total Kiss Up Hook Up Plumping Gloss shade peony.
NAILS: Swipe mark. Nailed It Trend Mini Nail Lacquers shade steel magnolia over the top corners of each nail so the lines meet at the nail tip. Then swipe shade green thumb over the bottom corners of each nail so the lines slightly overlap the top swipes and emet in the center of the nail bed.
