Getting Dressed With Sarah Part 1

I've decided to start a series of looks staring my baby sister, Sarah. We both love fashion and clothes and shopping so we are working together to create outfits reflecting her style. We are both cheap shoppers, always on the hunt for a sale or bargain and not ashamed to say I got that at Walmart. LOL We are not into name brands or designer labels. I think it's more important to dress your body type and look put together than to spend tons of $$ on a designer something. Plus we cycle through pieces fairly quick, in one season and out the next. Hopefully Sarah's looks will inspire you to dress well and shop smart. :) 

Sarah is wearing a white tee with lace cutouts and a banded bottom over a bright yellow tank (Sarah is fond of layering) and dark denim bermuda shorts (I love dark denim). Sarah said that her top is from 10 Dollar Mall, her tank from Wet Seal, and her shorts from JcPenney. 

I accessorized Sarah in the mark Rocking Pastels Necklace (which is gorgeous btw) and the topaz colored Hold It Right There Pin from mark in her hair. She also surprised me by wearing a lip color today which she rarely does, but should more often. :)

Coconut Treat

My review:
When I ordered the cleanser I was expecting it to have a sun tan lotion scent. I don't know about you but I love the smell of sunscreen. Just one whiff and I'm sucked in by the summery scent and transported to a beach or pool in some beautiful, exotic location. Aah! Anyway back to the review, these bath and body products do not have that sunscreen scent. After one sniff of the cleanser I was transported to a candy bar factory. LOL These products have more of a sweet coconut scent like a coconut filled candy bar (you know the one) or a coconut cake. The smell is delicious even if it wasn't what I expected. I recommend giving it a try! :)

Layer up with the shower wash and lotion to really soak up the scent. Keep the scent spray in the fridge for a cool, refreshing spritz. Other reps have given great reviews of the dry oil spray, saying that it absorbs in the skin and doesn't feel greasy.

Rocking Pastels Necklace

My review:
The colors in this necklace are super pretty and give you lots of outfit options. It is really big and definitely a statement piece. The quality is also really nice. My sister wearing the necklace in the photo below. After a day of wearing it she said that the necklace was lightweight she forgot she was even wearing it.

Hold It Right There Pins

My review:
First of all these are the BIGGEST bobby pins I've ever seen! When I got them in the mail I was like oh no I will never be able to use these. I have thin, fine hair with a medium length cut and I usually have trouble with clips and barrettes staying in my hair. I've worn these clips for the photos below and the feather clip to accessorize my top knot one day and they stayed in place! I was pleasantly surprised. The pins have an arched shaped bobby that makes them harder to open and keeps them from sliding out. That being said, because of my hair type I could never wear two or all three pins like the models in the picture. They are so big that the look would be overwhelming. The feather  pin is my fave. It has rhinestones down the middle and I have a ring that matches it perfectly. The blue one is more casual while the topaz one has a posher feel. If you like hair ornaments, I would recommend these. :)

All-American Style Tank

Positives: This tank is so cute! It is perfect for summer concerts, the Fourth of July, fairs/carnivals, etc. The burnout style fabric is lightweight and super comfy for the summer heat. Flag prints on tees, tanks, shorts, scarfs, etc are right on-trend this summer. mark usually has more "dressed up" styles at a higher price but this tank has a great casual look and the price is just right!

Negatives: I wish the tank was more fitted. There is a lot of extra fabric around the bottom/waist area which is my biggest problem area and the last place I need bunches of fabric. I've worn it with jean bermuda shorts, tan cargo shorts, and the little black shorts in the picture and I felt the same way about each look. I've seen other reps style it by tucking it in and also tying a knot in the back for a more fitted shape. 

That being said, I would still recommend this tank. It's too cute and trendy not to order! :)
